Fu Jen Catholic University is an academic community of students, staff and teachers who cooperate closely to foster the growth of the whole person, on the basis of Truth, Goodness, Beauty, and Holiness. One of Fu Jen¡¦s special characteristics is its international spirit. The university has been devoted specially to E¡Xlearning and practical education these current years. To achieve the goal of excellent learning and teaching, the school strives to provide its community with a creative, diversified and international learning environment.
Fu Jen is committed to developing holistic education and fostering a diversified learning environment in which students can develop an integrated personality with a spirit of ethically sensitive and professional competitiveness. The school promotes active teaching and learning on the basis of its academic core¡Xmission and enthusiasm. Moreover, on the strength of an aggressive self-evaluation system, the school keeps improving its teaching quality to show growth and excellence in an environment of knowledge and action, and endeavors to become a model of higher education for all Taiwan.
Section of Planning
The Office of Planning oversees general academic affairs and recruitment related activities. In this context, the Office is responsible for the administration of programs that enable students to enter Fu Jen Catholic University. The Office thus serves overseas Chinese students from a variety of countries, such as Thailand, Japan, Korea, Burma, India, and Indonesia, as well as Hong Kong and outlying islands off the coast of Taiwan. The Office of Planning also helps students within Taiwan who qualify as candidates for entry programs such as ¡§Direct Entry,¡¨ ¡§Recommended Student,¡¨ and ¡§Outstanding Student.¡¨ The Office also assists the university in the administration of transfer examinations between departments and similar examinations for students who test into Fu Jen from other universities. Finally, the Office of Planning is responsible for the placement of students in the post Bachelor¡¦s Degree Law Curriculum, and all graduate programs on campus for Master of Arts and as well as Ph.D. degrees.
Section of Registration and Records
The Office of Registration and Records is responsible for the orderly keeping of all grades. The office supervises regulations and procedures related to registration, changes of student majors, suspension and dismissal of students, and the declaration of status for minors and double majors.
Section of Curriculum
The Office of Curriculum is responsible for arranging course listings, classroom assignments, and course information for the convenience of students, staff and faculty. The Office also assists related units for services related to examinations.
