For student governance, there are the Student Union, nine College Student
Associations, and forty-six Department Student Associations. Student clubs
can be broadly categorized into six major groups (academic, recreational,
service, sports, artistic, and fraternal) with some 90 clubs. These student
organizations provide a ground for out-of-the-classroom learning experience
by creating opportunities for individuals to add to their professional training,
foster leadership and teamwork as well as cultivate additional interests.
