Financial Aid

Student Loan: Starting from 1976, the University provides Student Loans credited by the Bank of Taiwan. The Student Loan will cover the standard student budget, including tuition, room and board, and average amount for books, supplies, student insurance fees and the retirement fund of the private university. No interest accures on a Direct Loan until the repayent period, which begins a year after graduation.

Starting from the spring term of 2002, there are 3 options for the Student Loans:

(a) Direct Loans: The interest is subsidized by the government; no interest accures during the enrollment periods;

(b) Combined Loan: The government subsized 50% of the interest, and the students pay the rest of the interest during the enrollment periods;

(c) Unsubsidized Direct Loan: The term are generally the same as the subsidized version, but interest will accure immediatly from the date the promissory note is signed.
