The Voice of Fu Jen University

The Voice of Fu Jen University (VFJU), a unique pilot radio station, is established on January 1, 2001. Located in Liberal Enlightenment Hall, College of Liberal Arts, this experimental radio station broadcasts daily programs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on FM 88.5. Its audience is composed of the students and citizens in the neighboring communities of Fu Jen Catholic University, including Hsinchuang, Taisan, Wugu, and Sanchung areas, with a population of about a million. The guideline for the operation of VFJU is knowledge, life, entertainment and service. In 2003, VFJU further overcame the limitation of audio transmission by launching the online live broadcast service.

As VFJU is erected when the University marks her 40th anniversary, it is much more ambitious than just a place for student fieldwork. Besides providing a perfect environment for related courses for students from departments of Journalism, Advertising and Communication Arts, and Mass Communication, it also serves as a direct two-way communication channel on campus as well as a pathway to advocate educational ideals and services of the University.
