Office of Research and Development

About Us
 
The Office of Research and Development is comprised of Center for Academic Development and Evaluation, Center for Research and Ethics, and Center for Academic-Industrial Cooperation and Incubation. We endeavor to elevate the research and competitive edge of Fu Jen University by promoting the academic research and development, reinforcing the research capacity, and building sustainable research units.
 
 
Services
 
Center for Academic Development and Evaluation is responsible for: 
 
1. Mid-range university development plans
2. meetings of University Development Committee, Proceedings and Evaluation Unit of the 
University Development Committee, University Development Strategic Planning Meeting, and Integrated Campus Planning Unit
3. Accreditation of research centers, Self-Accreditation of Fu Jen Catholic University, and Institutional and Program Accreditation of MOE 
4. Management of total number and arrangement of colleges, departments, and students 
5. Management of subsidies granted by Ministry of Education for university development
6. Surveys of university development
7. Updates in the Higher Education Database Online (https://hedb.moe.edu.tw/ ) established by MOE
8. Supervision of development plans and changes in colleges/departments
9. Submission of changes in colleges, departments, and total number of students to MOE.
10. Appraisal of new or altered programs/departments 
 
 
Center for Research and Ethics seeks to 
 
1. Administer matters relating to the National Science Council funded projects,
2. Provide consulting services on research projects tendered by public and private institutions,
3. Manage matters concerning funding of intramural research programs,
4. Provide administrative support and manage subsidies for attendance of full-time lecturers, researchers and doctoral program students at international conferences,
5. Manage matters related to incentives and subsidies for distinguished academic research accomplishments, and
6. Review the ethical aspects of research proposals involving human subjects.
